Joseph is currently an apprentice with M247 in the Customer Operations team as a Provisioning Coordinator, based in our Manchester office. He is responsible for the end to end implementation of fibre leased line orders, this includes liaising with key suppliers, internal departments and customers through all stages of the delivery process.
Tell us a bit about you and your role as an apprentice.
After I left The Manchester College, I began working for my family business coordinating a courier delivery service for businesses. I thoroughly enjoyed some parts of this role, relating to the level of organisation it takes to manage several drivers and their jobs. After a year or so I thought it would be a good time for me to resume my education and complete an apprenticeship. It was then I started applying for roles and the offer to work at M247 was exactly what I was looking for.
My role as a Provisioning Coordinator is to place, manage and keep customers informed on their fibre leased line order with M247.
Why did you choose the apprenticeship route?
I chose the apprenticeship route as I wanted to learn something completely new and further my education at the same time, I believe an apprenticeship is the best way to do this.
Why was this route best suited to you?
This route is suited to me as I believe that I have very good organisational skills and I enjoy putting plans into place to see them executed. I also enjoy problem solving and learning new things.
What’s your favourite thing about being an apprentice?
It’s been having the opportunity to learn on the job and gain invaluable workplace experience whilst working towards a qualification.
