November 2020: Global provider of cloud and connectivity services, M247 shows no signs of slowing its international expansion plans. Strengthening its international reach of the highly successful Microsoft Teams Directing Routing solution as part of its ongoing development of its Unified Communications (UC) suite.

Demand for single supplier solutions that support businesses with international growth and the adoption of UC tools have been expedited during COVID-19. Reportedly, 82% of organisations have actively scaled their use of cloud solutions during this time and 40% of the market are set to move some or all of their voice services to cloud-based solutions in the very near future. Leading many industry specialists to cite the pandemic as being a catalyst for digitalisation and change.

In light of these changing demands M247 have seen their international customer base requesting solutions that enable them to consolidate and standardise their overall UC across their global office footprints. Customers are actively seeking technology service partners who can grow their UCaaS offering internationally with them, to provide innovative solutions which improve operating efficiencies and increase employee engagement through improved communications and collaboration.

One clear solution that organisations are leaning heavier upon to support these requirements is Microsoft Teams. Back in March 2019, Microsoft revealed that 500,000 organisations were using their Teams service. Fast-forward 18-months, and a global pandemic later, and by October 2020 this has increased to 115 million daily active users (DAU) for its app.

M247 have experienced an increased demand for the service, in support of customers international requirements and future plans. Having launched their New York International Point of Presence (iPoP) in August to support growing customer demand for international Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, today M247 have announced further expansion into Frankfurt and Madrid.

The latest cities added to the ever-growing list of Microsoft Teams iPoPs form part of an overall investment piece which M247 is committed to keeping on track despite the challenges of 2020. Overall, the business plans to install a total of 11 new iPoP sites globally, spanning across 3 continents, to support businesses internationally. The addition of the two newest European cities, in Frankfurt and Madrid, means customers can benefit from working with a single end-to-end partner for the delivery and management of their UC and collaboration worldwide, leveraging both the Microsoft capabilities and M247’s global reach.

M247 were early entrants into the market of fully collaborative, real time interactive solutions, to incorporate Microsoft Teams Direct Routing. The cloud-based telephony solution includes industry leading monitoring capabilities, delivered via call recording and call reporting functionality. And means businesses, their employees, and customers, can communicate seamlessly and effectively through one collaboration and communication platform – removing the need for multiple suppliers, competing technology, and extending budgets.

M247 Chief Technology Officer, Kevin Paige commented “We are delighted that we have been able to further expand our offering to support customer demand and market opportunities across our international footprint. At M247 we are always listening to the needs of our customers and try to look for innovative and technologically advanced ways that we can help with their challenges and support their strategy for success.”
