M247 are delighted to announce that we raised £3,000 for our charity partner, Manchester Youth Zone, during our summer party on Wednesday 17 August
Live music, delicious food, and mocktails were enjoyed by staff, with M247 leadership on hand to provide a business update and congratulate staff on their hard work.
HR Director for M247, Rich Hughes said “It’s clear people within the business are dedicated and determined to see M247 succeed. That’s why I think it’s important we highlight and reward the hard work and effort that’s witnessed on a day-to-day basis. I hope that this token of appreciation shows our people that their work doesn’t go unnoticed. I look forward to doing this again in December, where we will host an even bigger offsite event and fundraiser, to celebrate our success as a whole and as individuals and raise more money for our very worthy charity partner.”
The main event was the highly anticipated raffle, led by the Head of Fundraising at Manchester Youth Zone, James Hampson. All proceeds from the raffle went directly to MYZ, aiding their mission to help young people in Manchester lead healthier, happier lives.
James said, “I can’t begin to thank the whole team at M247 enough. The event was a great success and the donation from the business means so much. All the money raised will help us continue to offer a safe space for children in North Manchester to play and also build their confidence and discover their potential. I can’t wait to work more closely with M247 in the future.”
We’re grateful to be given the chance to support a local charity that really resonates with all of us at M247. Young people in North Manchester face higher rates of exposure to crime and food poverty, so it’s essential that they have a safe space to go to and people to talk to, which is exactly what Manchester Youth Zone is providing them with. It’s the reason why we are committed to helping in any way that we can, whether that is through fundraising, volunteering, or assisting them with interview skills.
We are excited for the future and can’t wait to come up with more ideas to support them!
