Work Progressing On New Manchester Datacentre - DC2

Soon after contracts were exchanged on the purchase of our new DC2 datacentre building a security system was installed. This represents the first step in what will eventually become a highly sophisticated multi-level security system protecting the valuable data and hardware on the data floor.

Within the next day or so after network links were established our Developer Team migrated from cramped space in our original neighbouring DC1 building and now enjoy some superb space which overlooks their old desks that are now occupied by additional support staff.

Our DC2 building is currently undergoing the first phase of reshaping it to fit our purposes exactly. Stairs and walls are being removed and other walls are being built in new places. A goods lift will soon be fitted enabling our customers to move heavy hardware around the building with ease. The whole place is a hive of activity getting it ready before the first server aisles can be fitted in the not too distant future.
